I love...

....when comedians cover my favorite popular songs. Case in point, Tim Hawkins, who is an absolutely hilarious Christian comedian. If you like Plain White T's, then you will love this, I promise!

Also, check back in because I have been at the stamping table and am actually happy with what has been coming off of it...so some new projects will be following very soon.

Just in time...

...for Mother's Day! I really do like Mother's Day, especially now that I have a kiddo of my own and have begun to really appreciate everything that my mom went through raising me! (Hi Mom! Thanks for not leaving me on someone's doorstep, shipping me off to boarding school, or actually stopping the car and putting me out on the side of the road all those times I deserved it!)

So, in honor of my mom and all the other great moms out there, I came up with this album class:

Bock, bock...

...said the little Easter chick. You can tell he is the king of all Easter chicks because he is holding his little crown on his fuzzy yellow noggin. Tres chic, my little yellow friend!

Then, you open the card to see that he is not poultry royalty (try saying that one three times fast...like an old vocal exercise from college!), but he is just making some deliveries for his bunny buddy!

I bet if he were a little bigger, he wouldn't hold his eggs on his head, but would put them in a cute little basket like this one to carry to all the little chicks in the barnyard.

Since I got an extremely late start on Easter this year, I decided to make a quick little 3 x 3 card to get me in the mood. That was followed by the basket, and I am sure that pretty much all day tomorrow I will be stamping out some super cute bunnies to make my heart feel spring-like.

Things I Love...

...about my friends.

I have to say that I love all of my friends, and each and every one of you hold a special place in my heart. Every one of you brings your personality, your experiences, your charming ways into my life and helps complete a little bit of what makes me, well, me.

Today, I want to take a minute and talk about why I love my friends.

A friend can come into your home and not ask why you keep M&Ms in your bathroom, or even feel icky about it. She understands that those are little bribes for little kids when their little poop all makes it into the potty. She may even help herself to one or two if she is running low on CBC (circulating bloodstream chocolate).

A friend can shovel her way into your living room through the piles of toys, books, clothes, and kids and say to you with a perfectly straight face and sincere heart, "Gosh, your house looks great today! I wish my house were this clean." (Yes, I know it is a lie, but it makes me feel good to hear it!)

A friend will wipe your kiddo's nose/face/butt if she is closer to them than you are or if you look like you are getting your first nourishment in a week after taking care of sick kids/pets/spouses.

A friend will come when you need them, whether you asked them to or not. Sometimes it is just to bring a hug and a shoulder to cry on, sometimes they bring a snack or a meal, and sometimes they come, honk the horn, and whisk you away from everything that is horrible and take you out and make you laugh. (All variations of this are appreciated.)

A friend will help you move. (A best friend will help you move a body.)

This is for all of my great friends! I appreciate you standing by me, supporting me, listening to me, and loving me, warts and all! I hope y'all have a wonderful day, a spectacular weekend, and know that I just love ya!

Treats for Everyone...

...are so cute and easy to make! Let me tell you, I love a nice piece of chocolate. Between all those feel good endorphins and just the plain ole tastiness of it, there is nothing like it. Until you do this with it:


Then not only is it sweet and dark and delicious, but also so cute that you want to keep it all for yourself! Of course, we know that it is better to share, which is why I made three of these cute candy pull cards. One for me and two to share. Or two for me and one to share, I haven't worked out all those little details yet. Don't judge me.



The point is, these little cuties can elevate even a simple goodness like a candy bar to new heights and show that you care with just a few minutes of time. And if you like these, you can make them to. I have class details on my business website so feel free to hop on over and check it out.

I have to say I think this little blue and pink number is my favorite one because of the butterflies. The new die from Sizzix really makes them so easy, and when you mount them in layers it adds a pretty look. I love tools that make me look talented, don't you?

The best thing about a project like this is that no matter what your skill level is, you can do this. You can make these as elaborate or as simple as you like, and I promise that either way they will be beautiful, and the person that you share them with will love it!
